About NETCO

NETCO Electric was founded in 1969 by Norman and Lorna Teed with a clear goal, to deliver dependable, high-quality electrical services to the communities we serve. Over the decades the company has grown alongside the region, expanding capabilities while maintaining the same commitment to workmanship and reliability that built our reputation.

Following Norman’s tenure, Murray Teed led the company through significant growth and now serves as Chairman of the Board. Today, under the leadership of President Shawn Calhoun, NETCO continues to provide commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical solutions while upholding the standards that have defined the company for more than 55 years.

Safety, integrity, teamwork, accountability, and customer service remain the foundation of every project we undertake, from routine service work to large-scale installations.

Our Community Involvement

At NETCO Electric, supporting the communities where we live and work has always been an important part of who we are. We believe strong businesses help build strong communities, and we encourage our team to give back through meaningful involvement and local initiatives.

We are proud to support organizations and events that make a positive impact across our region.

Current initiatives include:

  • The Coldest Night of the Year is an event where tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home to put themselves in the shoes of the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who experience homelessness.

In Moncton, NETCO employees volunteer at this annual event as well as collect donations that fund critical services at a local charity partner who serves and supports affected families and individuals in our CNOY community.

  • Isthmus Moncton (formerly Blessings in a Backpack) is a unique school-based nutrition program.

Throughout the school year, Netco consistently contributes funds and personally delivers sufficient food to support elementary, middle, and high school students ensuring they don't go hungry over the weekends.

Isthmus currently serves over 40 schools in both the English and French school districts, feeding over 1250 children each week.

  • This annual event is to honor and remember RCMP Constables Douglas Larche, Dave Ross, and Fabrice Gevaudan who were killed protecting our community on June 4th, 2014.

Each June, runners from across the province gather on the Moncton waterfront to participate in the run. The funds raised go toward scholarships for the six high schools that Codiac RCMP serves. The scholarships are given to students who demonstrate leadership, courage, and bravery.

“We would like to take a minute to thank NETCO Electric for their continued support with this very special community event. Your sponsorship has helped us to keep the legacy of our fallen heroes alive by providing 18 scholarships in the greater Moncton high schools each year. Without backing from community minded businesses like NETCO Electric, it would be a challenge to achieve our lofty goals every year. Thank you on behalf of the Three Father’s Memorial Committee.” – Christy Matthews
